In Memory of Jim Walter
Jim Walter, the original Owner and Broker of Gold Key Realty & Auctions, began his real estate and auctioneering career in 1976 with his first office, High Plains Realty & Walter Auctions, in the community of Hot Springs, SD.
In February of 2012 Jim and his step-son, Casey Varick, joined forces and opened Gold Key Realty & Auctions in Box Elder, SD.
Jim enjoyed sales, people and assisting folks in helping make the dream of homeownership come true, but sadly just three short weeks after moving the Gold Key Realty office into Rapid City on Jan. 1st of 2021 Jim passed away.
His presence, his experience and his attitude of following the "Golden Rule" is missed everyday at the office. And by his family and those who knew him well, this man with the constant smile remains in their hearts forever. We carry on as Jim would have wanted, making sure that all customers and clients are treated fairly, equally, honestly and respectfully.
Jim Walter was a wonderful man, we shall honor him through our continued efforts at Gold Key Realty, but our beloved Auctioneer is now watching us from above.
